A few months ago, it dawned on us that we don't have to be another Oprah, Bill Gates or Warren Buffet to realize Nobel Prize winner, Mohammad Yunu's vision of “doing well by doing good.” We don't need another Global Warming, Part 2 to bring home the point that our Earth, it's waters, air and citizens need help. Without Superman sucking in toxins and spewing out cooling mist, each one of us can simply be Uberman, an uncaped crusader giving the planet a boost. Our individual efforts may be a drop in the bucket, but it is a drop lovingly committed by those who share our hopes for sustainability and enlightened future. The Uberman Project is anchored on the belief that small efforts from ordinary people go extraordinary lengths to create a better, greener and happier world.
As our vision took shape, we realized that the idea of a progressive social business from donated 'cents' made sense. We strongly felt that beyond asking for donations, we can give value for money to advertisers and partners through exposure on our pages and more importantly by spending their dollars on environmental protection, education, health and livelihood projects. Advertising or marketing dollars spent on The Uberman Project is not a charity dole-out but an investment that grows in value with...
- every life changed for the better through realized opportunities,
- every drop of water made available,
- every breath of air made cleaner
- every smile made brighter.
In the past, we did our share by dipping into our own limited resources to sustain sporadic tree planting and mangrove seeding campaigns in the Philippines. We soon realized that winging it alone wasn't enough (nor wise). Getting local sponsors to match our efforts was an exhausting task and lack of funds made viability a serious concern. Fortunately the Internet has made it possible for our cause to be beamed globally through this site and its linked social media pages with the hope that we can generate enough support.
Our mission to promote green living and social business may take a lifetime to fulfill but it only takes a single dollar, a single tree and prayer for us to begin.
Join us and be Uberman in a number of ways. Make the Uberman Project part of your corporate social responsibility efforts today. Show you care, do your share.
